Campus Network Hardware Upgrade Project
Phase 1: Data Center Network Hardware Upgrade Plan
As part of the campus network hardware and security upgrade, the network infrastructure team will be replacing Data Center network hardware starting May 30, 2024, and throughout the month of June 2024. The upgrade plan will end on June 21, 2024.
To minimize impact on the campus activity, the upgrades are scheduled for 10pm and 2am on Tuesdays and Fridays. As a result of the upgrade, the campus will benefit from
- Increased network bandwidth to the Internet and IT resources.
- Improved network security with faster connectivity.
- Simplify the IT infrastructure and consolidate the network resources for better network performance.

Phase 2: Building network Hardware Upgrade Plan
Following the Phase 1 plan, the network infrastructure team will replace building network hardware starting June 24, 2024, and throughout July 2024. The upgrade plan will end on August 9, 2024.
The upgrade will involve moving the building’s computer, phone, and wireless access point network connection from legacy to new network equipment. During the upgrade, the cable will be disconnected and moved to new network hardware. The outage is less than 30 seconds. We will send the reminder to the user a week before the scheduled upgrade.
