Karen McKinley
Executive Director, Extension
Karen McKinley serves in the role of Executive Director of Extension. In this role she oversees all self-support academic, professional, and continuing education programs for Cal State Fullerton: Summer Session, Winter Session, degree and postbaccalaureate programs, Open University, professional development programs, workforce education, and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). Since joining Extension in 1993, she has served in numerous leadership roles, ensuring access to degree-seeking students and others wanting professional development and lifelong learning opportunities at Cal State Fullerton. Karen champions the importance of working collaboratively with academic and administrative partners to extend CSUF educational opportunities to broader communities through self-supported Extension programs. Karen earned her BS in Business Administration with a major in Marketing Management from Cal Poly Pomona and her MA in Education from UCLA.
