Bey-Ling Sha, Ph.D.

Dr. Bey-Ling Sha joins Cal State Fullerton from San Diego State University, where she served as acting associate dean of the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts. She was also the director of the School of Journalism and Media Studies from 2013-2018. Dr. Sha is the recipient of several awards and recognition. Recently, the San Diego State Alumni Association honored her with the 2018-19 Distinguished Faculty Award. Her research earned her a lifetime achievement award in 2018 from the Institute for Public Relations. And in 2012, the Public Relations Society of America named Dr. Sha Outstanding Educator of the Year. She is also currently serving as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Public Relations Research until 2021. She holds a Ph.D. in mass communication from the University of Maryland at College Park.
