John Haan

Professor  Chemistry

Research Interests

The Haan Research Lab started in 2011, when Dr. Haan joined the Department of Chemistry at California State University, Fullerton.  The Haan lab uses various electrochemical methods to: 1) study fundamental behavior of metal catalyst surfaces, 2) develop new catalysts for electrochemical oxidation of fuels and reduction of CO2, and 3) develop new power sources for portable electronic devices and paper-based sensors.  The Haan Research Lab currently has over 20 undergraduate and graduate students working on 4 active project teams: CO2 Team, Fuel Cell Team, Catalyst Team, and Paper Team.
