Review the Employee Re-entry Checklist for employee requirements, protocols, and guidance for returning to campus.
Vaccine Requirement Policy
As described in the President’s message on July 27, 2021, the CSU is requiring that all returning faculty, staff, and students be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by September 30, 2021. To achieve compliance with this mandate, CSUF employees must receive their first COVID-19 vaccine dose by August 17, 2021 and upload their record as soon as the second dose is received.
Fully vaccinated is defined any individual from whom the University has received documentation noting receipt at least 14 days prior, of either the second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine. You may request a medical or religious exemption from the mandatory vaccination policy. Individuals with a pending or approved exemption will still be required to undergo weekly surveillance testing.
Face Coverings Required Indoors
Presidential Directive 22 has been amended to reflect the requirement that all members of the University community regardless of vaccination status must wear a face covering indoors, based on updated guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). These revisions are effective on August 11 and will continue at least through September 30.
Required Testing for Returning Faculty Aug 18-20
Faculty who have not uploaded a vaccine record and will return for the fall semester at on-campus centers are required to have re-entry testing between August 18-20 and undergo weekly surveillance testing thereafter. View instructions for scheduling your testing appointment.
CSUF Vaccine Clinic at the Titan Gym
Vaccines will be available on campus through the OC Health Care Agency from August 16-20, in the Titan Gym Foyer from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vaccines are available by walk-in or appointment to all students, employees and their families. Click here for more details.
