Titan Emergency Fund for Faculty/Staff
Having trouble meeting essential expenses, especially with the financial demands of the holiday season? You may be eligible to receive assistance from CSUF Titan Emergency Fund for faculty and staff. The fund provides financial assistance for employees who are experiencing hardships related to COVID-19.
We encourage faculty/staff who may be interested in assistance to apply online. For eligibility and application information, please visit the Titan Emergency Fund webpage on the HRDI website. If you are able, please join us in pledging your support by making a charitable contribution to The Titan Emergency Fund.

Register for Self-Care & Politics on Friday, November 13 at 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. In collaboration with Dr. Portia Jackson Preston, Faculty, Department of Public Health. Civic engagement and the elections results have been on the forefront of many individuals’ minds this month. This session is intentionally focused on helping participants find ways to take care of their own mental, emotional, and physical health post-election results.
BFSA Post-Election: Where Do We Go from Here

Having Difficult Conversations with Family & Friends
Register for Having Difficult Conversations with Family & Friends on Wednesday, November 18 at 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. In collaboration with Dr. Bey-Ling Sha, Dean, College of Communications. With Thanksgiving Break and the holiday season around the corner, coming together with close friends and family might be in your future. Come to this session if you are interested in learning communication skills that can help you navigate difficult conversations about politics and election results that may come up over the break.

Titan Table Talks Series: Civic Engagement and Advocacy in Indigenous/Native Communities
Join the next event, Titan Table Talk: Civic Engagement and Advocacy in Indigenous/Native Communities on November 16 at 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. The dialogue will feature local community members, CSUF alumni, and others as they discuss civic engagement in Native American/Indigenous Communities. Kaiser Permanente Member Flu Shots
KP members, in addition to getting your flu shots at drive-thru and walk-up clinics at KP medical centers, now through December 31, members can get a flu shot at no additional cost from select retailers, including Walgreens, CVS, Vons, Ralph’s, Costco, Walmart and more. You will need your member ID card and a photo ID. No co-pay, no hassle, yes, flu protection! You can find out more by visiting kp.org/flu .

COVID-19 Resources
COVID-19 Self-Reporting Form
The University requests that any employee or student who tests positive for COVID-19 or becomes aware that they may have been in close contact with someone who either has tested positive for or is suspected to have COVID-19 report the positive result or exposure using the CSUF COVID-19 Self-Reporting Form. CSUF’s Infectious Diseases Response Team reviews and verifies COVID-19 confirmed cases and responds to concerns from the campus community on COVID-19.
Guidance for Holiday Celebrations, Small Gatherings, and Travel
As many people in the United States begin to plan for Thanksgiving and winter holiday celebrations and related travel, the state and CDC offer the following considerations to help protect individuals and their families, friends, and communities from COVID-19. COVID-19 Symptoms
People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
This list does not include all possible symptoms. CDC will continue to update this list as we learn more about COVID-19.
