Equipment

Student Stations

  • 1 Optical bench
  • 1 Screen
  • 1 Green Laser with Power Cable
  • 1 Single slit disc
  • 1 Double slit disc
  • 1 Paper
  • 1 Small clip
  • 1 Stand with clamp & Rod
  • 2 Large clips with cardboard sheet & paper with hole
  • 1 Ruler

  • Box of CDs and DVDs
  • Extra paper and clips

Setup Instructions

Student Stations

  1. Verify that all materials are present before proceeding to set up the lab.
  2. Place optical track so that the measure is facing toward the students.
  3. Make sure that the lasers are facing towards the screen and are switched off.
  4. Place the stand with clamp and rod on the table and slide the carboard sheet with large clips onto the rod
  5. Set this so that its parallel to the optical track, not across it, they don’t use it until the end of the lab.

Instructor Station

  1. Bin of CD/DVD.

Teardown Notes

  1. Leave cardboard sheet, paper, and large clamps all together.
    1. If any sheets were drawn on, replace them with a new one and punch a new hole.
