Info Blocks: Dynamic Content
Microblogs
Microblogs are great if you write a lot or have an on-going stream of data that changes frequently. A typical blog uses a database backend with some theme on the front. Our info block microblog gives you plenty of control without the need for a database.
Why a Microblog and not a true Blog?
The microbog is 90% of what you get with a blog but lacks the ability to have comments or direct pages created for each post. We do have direct links to each post but it does not create a pretty URL since there's no database.
It does have a searchable interface with categories and tags, and if you use multiple files you can do collections of data that are formatted with newest content on top.
The microblog doesn't have a limit on characters, this isn't a social media concept, but it is also not a fully featured blog like Wordpress. There are no extra updates beyond what the site is already getting.
When creating content the published and last updated dates are automatically set when the info block is published. If you need to add old content to your microblog you can overwrite the published date to help with public facing display.
By default your blog will sort based on most recent first. There are other ways to sort it, but the nature of a blog is content over time, fresh stuff up top so you don't have to scroll far.
