Ethnic Studies BA (Chicana and Chicano Studies)

Student Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the field of Chicana/o Studies, including critical, theoretical, and interdisciplinary methodologies.
  • Improve oral presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of social justice movements and/or advance civic engagement in social justice practices with communities.
  • Use theories and concepts in Chicanx/Latinx Studies to identify, analyze, and contest systems of oppression, such as anti-blackness, homophobia, sexism, ableism, xenophobia, and policing.
