Important Dates

Below are a list of  dates throughout the academic year that will assist students with understanding the financial aid timeline.

October

1 - Typically the first day to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSAOpens in new window ) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAAOpens in new window ) Application for the next academic year

28 – Deadline for submitting Satisfactory Academic Progress appeal for current fall semester

 

November

30 – Deadline to submit verification documents for students enrolled in fall term only for current academic year

 

December

3 – Deadline for fall loan request submission (Federal Direct Subsidized Loan, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, Parent PLUS Loan, Grad PLUS Loan). Minimum of six units required.

25 – January 3; campus closed

 

January

15 – First spring disbursement

15 – mid year SAP run (for students on academic plans and with approved appeals only)

 

February

22 – census – Pell and Cal Grant payments adjusted to units determined at census

 

March

2 – Typically the FAFSA and CADAA application priority filing date for the next academic year

  • Dependency override appeals due for next academic year

30 – awarding for new freshmen and transfer student begins

 

April

7 – deadline to submit Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal for spring of current year

29 – priority document submission deadline for upcoming aid year

  • Deadline for submitting spring or current academic year loan request (Federal Direct Subsidized Loan, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, Parent PLUS Loan, Grad PLUS Loan). Minimum enrollment of six units required.

May

2 – deadline to submit verification/file review documents for spring or academic year awards

2 - priority submission deadline for 2024-2025 FAFSA/CADAA

15 – summer awards posted

 

June

1 – last day to submit FAFSA for current award year – Pell grant determination only

7- Year end satisfactory academic progress (SAP) run

20 – first summer disbursement

 

July

1 – summer Pell awards posted for students enrolled in summer. Most Pell awards require a minimum of 6 units of enrollment during summer.

  • PLUS loan applications processing begins

15 – last day to submit verification/file review documents for summer

21 – Deadline to submit summer loan request (Federal Direct Subsidized Loan, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, Parent PLUS Loan, Grad PLUS Loan). Minimum enrollment of six units required.

 

August

15 - First fall disbursement

 

September

19 – Census Date; Pell and Cal Grant awards adjusted to units enrolled in at this date.

  • Middle Class Scholarship Disbursement
  • MBA Fee grant awarding begins
