Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a rapidly evolving field with a profound impact on education, the economy, and society as a whole. AI systems analyze data to support decision-making and perform tasks traditionally requiring human input. Using algorithms and data exposure, AI learns and improves over time. It can identify patterns, make predictions, and take actions based on existing data, often recognizing insights that humans might overlook. Through continuous learning, AI enhances its accuracy and effectiveness.
AI Responsible Use & Guidelines
Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) supports the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance work, teaching, learning, research, and campus services.
Please be aware that users are responsible for any mistakes generated by TitanGPT or any other generative AI system. Students should consult their instructors’ AI policies before using any generative AI tool, including TitanGPT, for their assignments.
Ethical Principles Framework for Higher Education
The list below represents AI applications that are found within the CSUF environment.
TitanGPT
TitanGPT, a secure and innovative AI tool powered by ChatGPT-4o, is available to all CSUF students, faculty, and staff. This resource, is designed to support your work by offering an efficient way to brainstorm ideas, draft documents, and summarize information, while ensuring your data remains secure within our campus systems.
Microsoft Copilot
Microsoft Copilot provides access to advanced generative AI with text, voice, and image capabilities and is available to CSUF students, faculty, and staff. CSUF's Microsoft licensing includes Copilot commercial data protection. Commercial data protection ensures user and organizational data are protected.
Google Gemini
Google Gemini is a generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) assistant that uses machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) to provide humanlike responses to text, image, and audio prompts. CSUF's Google Gemini licensing includes added data protection.
Google Notebook LM
NotebookLM is an AI-powered collaborator that helps you do your best thinking. After uploading your documents, NotebookLM becomes an instant expert in those sources so you can read, take notes, and collaborate with it to refine and organize your ideas.
Zoom AI Companion
Zoom's AI Companion feature leverages AI to generate concise summaries of your meetings, saving you time and effort.
Adobe Firefly
Adobe Firefly is available to CSUF through its Adobe Creative Cloud subscription . Firefly provides generative AI features across Adobe's creative apps. With the Adobe Firefly web app, you can create AI-generated images based on your own prompts.
