Fonts and Typography

Our web typefaces reflect our identity through their complimentary similarity with their print counterparts Adobe Garamond and Slate Pro. Typefaces do more than spell words. Used consistently, they become symbols of the CSUF brand throughout our online presence.

Starting in the Campus web templates 4.0.96 we changed our two web typefaces to be Roboto and Crimson Text.

Campus members do not need to purchase or download these fonts through commercial font foundries. These fonts are freely distributed with an OU Campus account.   No additional CSS styling is required as they are preset in the core Campus CSS and OU template.

The description and examples below show the style for each header and paragraph tags.

Do not overwrite these formats or substitute these typefaces with others. Consistency is important for navigation, readability and ATI compliancy, as well as to maintain the integrity of the University's web presence.
