Illness/Disability 

 

Sick Leave

Full-time employees accrue eight hours of sick leave per each qualifying pay period; part-time employees earn sick leave on a pro-rata basis.

 

Industrial & Non-Industrial Leave

IDL Leave is a wage continuation program specifically designed as an alternative benefit program to Workers' Compensation Temporary Disability for employees who are unable to work due to a work related injury or illness; NDI is a wage continuation program that provides income for eligible employees who are disabled and unable to work due to a non-work related injury or illness.

 

Catastrophic Leave

Allows employees to voluntarily donate their sick and/or vacation leave credits to those employees who due to a catastrophic illness or injury have exhausted all leave credits, including any sick, vacation, personal holiday or CTO credits.

 

Workers' Compensation

California (WC) laws require California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) to provide Workers' Compensation Benefits to employees who are injured or who develop an illness as a direct result of their employment. The University is required to report work related injuries or illnesses. Serious injuries must be reported to CAL/OSHA within eight (8) hours from the time of the incident.

 

Organ Donor

Eligible employees who have exhausted their sick leave may take up to 30 paid consecutive days of leave during a one-year to donate an organ to another person and 5 paid consecutive days to donate bone marrow to another person.
