TechDay at CSUF is an annual engaging event that highlights the latest in technology, with a special focus this year on artificial intelligence (AI). It serves as a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among faculty, staff, students, and technology partners, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the campus community.
This year's event offers multiple learning tracks centered around AI, including topics such as machine learning, AI-driven data analytics, natural language processing, and ethical considerations in AI deployment. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore other cutting-edge technology topics and cybersecurity best practices. The keynote address, featuring Dr. Thomas A. DeFanti who is a Research Scientist, UCSD; a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Computer Science, UIC; and a CENIC Senior Advisor. He is an industry leader, and will provide valuable insights into the transformative impact of AI across various sectors including The CENIC-AI Resource and its role in shaping the future of technology.
TechDay also offers invaluable networking opportunities, allowing participants to connect with CSUF’s vendor partners and other technology professionals, keeping them at the forefront of emerging technology trends. By focusing on AI, this year's TechDay aims to empower the CSUF community to understand, adopt, and leverage AI technologies, aligning with the University’s mission to drive innovation and elevate the educational experience.
