Research
Professors in the CAS department conduct innovative and important research studies on infants, children, teenagers, and families. Studies focus on topics such as children’s school readiness and achievement, media influences on the development of children and teenagers, children’s play behaviors, parent-child interactions, and children with developmental delays. Research findings have been published in many scholarly journals and inform what parents read in parenting books and magazines.
