All design ideas must incorporate the GE’s Predix technology software platform.
All projects must address the problem statement and/or scenario proposed by the Sponsor.
Each participating campus will receive a $10,000 participation grant from the Sponsor for the purpose of supporting the design project and travel to the concluding symposium, project presentations and awards. With the exception of the participation grant, Sponsor will not reimburse Entrants for any out-of-pocket costs incurred or for efforts expended in connection with their participation in the Challenge and Entrants have no claim to additional reimbursement.
A participating campus may field only one team. Limit one participation grant per campus. Each Project Team from the Participating Campuses (individuals, partial teams, all Project Team members) must participate in the concluding symposium, project presentations and awards ceremony.
Each campus may use the participation grant at its discretion.
Entrants may, at their option, use a portion of the $10,000 participation grant from the Sponsor for the purpose of obtaining materials and equipment for use in connection with the Challenge.
Entrants will receive limited licenses for the GE's Predix software platform, related mobile computing equipment as determined by GE Digital , orientation to the GE's Predix platform, and a GE Digital project mentor obtained free of charge via GE Global Software (subject to GE Digital terms of use). Any Entries that do not comply with the device requirements will be ineligible.
