American Studies Graduate Scholarship for Careers in Education
The $1000 American Studies Graduate Scholarship for Careers in Education is awarded every Spring to an American Studies Graduate Student pursuing a career in the field of education (teaching at any level, academic advising/counseling, educational administration, etc.). This award was established by an alum of the CSUF American Studies MA program who understands the need to reshape the way students at all levels engage educational content to be effective critical thinkers and leaders of the future. The alumnus who sponsored this award knows from experience that life working in the field of education is not easy, but such service for the public good deserves immense thanks and reward. This scholarship is intended to aid its recipient on their journey to one of the most rewarding careers in society.
Who may apply:
- Graduate students with 12 units completed or in progress in the AMST MA program
- Plans to pursue a career in education, counseling, or educational administration
- GPA 3.0 or higher
- Previous recipients cannot reapply
Application process: Please fill out the form below. Please attach a a letter detailing how you plan to improve the educational futures of students and how a Master’s degree in American Studies will help you in that endeavor. (500 words maximum)
