Pollak Library Makerspace Equipment List


The following equipment is made available by the Pollak Library and is located on the 2nd floor of the North side of the library.  For information on how to check out the space, visit the makerspace office (PLN 210) or reserve by using the links below.

The use of the following equipment requires the completion of a liability waiver form. Some training and instruction may be required. For more information about each piece of equipment please refer to the makerspace policies page

GlowForge Laser Cutter

Produce incredible products with a GlowForge laser cutter! Create personal or professional projects by cutting or engraving through materials such as wood, cardboard, acrylic, etc.

Vinyl Cutter Icon Cricut Vinyl Cutter/Craft Machine


 An all purpose craft machine that cuts paper, vinyl, fabric, leather and more. Make original designs on the Cricut app or website (available for download for IOS and Google Play) and then send them to the Cricut when you are in the makerspace.

 Bernette Sewing Machines & Brother Serger

Our space has [2] Bernette 35 Swiss Design Sewing Machines and [1] 1034D Brother Serger. Tools, thread, and a variety of fabric are available for use. Make clothes, quilts, costumes, tote bags, anything fiber project you can imagine!

With awls, bone folders, waxed thread, assorted cardstock, and more the makerspace has all the tools to make handcrafted books. Users have made unique zines, journals, and pamphlets.

Our button maker makes 44mm buttons. We provide the materials (button mylar, pin back and aluminum front), all you need to bring is your own custom designs to create fun and unique buttons right here in the makerspace!

 

Podcast studio

The makerspace podcast studio has [4] Microphones, [4] Headphones, a RODECaster audio production system, Macbook, and acoustic soundproof panels for all your podcasting, voice acting, and audio needs.

The following equipment is made available by the Division of Information Technology in the Innovation Center (PLN 215).  For information how to check out the space, visit the Center for Equitable Digital Access, on the second floor of Pollak Library North (PLN 200) or reserve by using the links below.
