Our office oversees the evaluation of tenure-track faculty (probationary and tenured) as well as lecturers (temporary faculty).

RTP Timetables for Tenure-Track Faculty
All actions are to be completed by 5pm (the end of the business day) on the day listed. Evaluation and recommendation documents are to be uploaded and distributed through Interfolio. Upon distribution, the 10-calendar-day rebuttal period commences. Cases should be forwarded to the next review step once the rebuttal/meeting form is submitted (do not wait for the deadline when the candidate submits early). When the Department Chair is ineligible to participate, candidates submit to their Dean who will declare those portfolios complete. The following timetables for the evaluation of probationary and tenured faculty comply with Articles 13.5, 13.12, 13.13, 13.18, 14.5, 14.9, 15.4, and 15.5 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement as well as UPS 210.000.

Post-Tenure Review Timetable for Tenured Faculty
UPS 210.020 Periodic Evaluation of Tenured Faculty and Article 15.35 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement require post-tenure review of tenured faculty at least once every five years. Candidates shall submit their materials through Interfolio to be evaluated by their Post-Tenure Review Committee (PTRC) and Dean. After the PTRC and Dean’s written statements have been distributed to the candidate, a meeting can occur. Candidates will then have up to ten days to submit any response. The following timeline shall be employed.

Lecturer Timetables for Temporary Faculty
Initial evaluation must occur during the second semester of teaching, regardless of a break in service. Lecturers should be employed at the University during the semester they are evaluated and are only to be evaluated once per academic year. All actions are to be completed by 5pm (end of business day) on the day listed. Evaluations are to be uploaded and distributed through Interfolio. Upon distribution, the 10-calendar-day rebuttal period commences. Cases should be forwarded to the next review step once the rebuttal/meeting form is submitted (do not wait for the deadline when the candidate submits early). The following timetables for the evaluation of Lecturers (“temporary faculty”) comply with Articles 15.4 and 15.5 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement as well as University Policy Statement 210.070.
Timetable 1 is to be used in the following instances:
- when Fall 2024 is the second semester of employment for a new lecturer, or
- when the lecturer is due for an evaluation, but will not be teaching in Spring 2025

Choice to Exclude Spring 2020 SOQs and Grade Distribution Data
All faculty members are provided with the option to exclude the Student Opinion Questionnaires (SOQs) and/or Grade Distribution Data (GDD) from any courses taught in Spring 2020 from their Working Personnel Action Files of future evaluations. Faculty shall complete the form linked below and submit it in their Working Personnel Action Files in lieu of specific course SOQs and/or GDD from Spring 2020 if they choose to exercise this option.
