CSUF Housing - Evacuation Drill

We hope this message finds you well. We want to inform you of an upcoming evacuation drill on August 29, 2024 from 4 to 5 p.m. This drill is a crucial part of our commitment to ensuring the safety and preparedness of our community in case of emergencies.

All residents must evacuate the housing buildings during the drill and proceed to designated evacuation sites based on location. Here are the evacuation sites for each area:

Elm, Fig, Holly, and Gastronome residents will evacuate to Resident Lot 1. Acacia, Birch, Juniper, Manzanita, Oak, Pine, and Willow residents will evacuate to Lot J. Laurel, Noble, and Redwood residents will evacuate to Resident Lot 2. All residents must participate in this drill for safety and to familiarize themselves with evacuation procedures. Housing staff will be walking the buildings and guiding residents to the evacuation sites. Please note that any resident not complying with the evacuation instructions will be documented and referred to the Housing and Residential Engagement conduct process.

For anyone with an ADA accommodation or Emotional Support Animal (ESA), we strongly advise planning ahead of the evacuation drill to ensure your safety and well-being during the exercise. If you have any questions or concerns related to your accommodations, please contact the housing office prior to the drill.

If you have an online class, quiz, exam, etc. scheduled during this timeframe, we recommend heading to a different location ahead of the drill. The Pollak Library and Titan Student Union will be open and available.

Also, please be aware that the RH parking lot will be blocked off during the drill for everyone's safety. DO NOT remove the barricades from where they are positioned.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in ensuring a safe living environment for everyone in our community. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the evacuation drill, please get in touch with us.

For further assistance outside of our business hours, contact our Resident Advisors On Duty at (714) 681-6918.
