The Doctor of Nursing Practice Program offers a Post-Master's DNP degree through a Consortium of the Schools of Nursing at California State University, FullertonLong Beach and Los Angeles.  

Fall 2023 Post-Master's program is offered through the CSU Fullerton School of Nursing 

The DNP is a professional practice degree designed to prepare advanced practice nurses for complex practice and leadership roles in the clinical setting as well as teaching roles at California's community colleges and at the California State University. Students admitted into the program will be able to draw on faculty expertise across three large institutions.  The program is a rigorous academic experience designed to prepare nurses to assume the highest levels of nursing professional practice. In addition to developing advanced competencies in evidence-based practice, leadership, health policy, and advocacy, graduates will develop in-depth skills in a focused area of nursing practice. Students will complete a total of 1,000 clinical hours in practicum experience.

This is a post master's DNP program. You must have a master's degree to be considered.  This pathway does not lead to additional certification; students will continue preparation in their current specialty.

The Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Southern California CSU DNP Consortium (Consortium of CSU, Fullerton; CSU, Long Beach; and CSU, Los Angeles) is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org). Additionally, each member school of the Southern California CSU DNP Consortium is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and each of their existing nursing programs is accredited by CCNE.
