Faculty Research Interests
Central to our chemistry degrees is performing research under the direction of a faculty advisor. Conducting research allows you to grow as a scientist, gain practical instrumentation and data analysis skills, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Our faculty care deeply about mentoring students in research projects that expand the frontiers of chemistry. From 2022-2023, CSUF Chemistry and Biochemistry faculty:
- Secured over 2.4 million in external funding to support undergraduate and graduate research at CSUF!
- Authored a total of 24 peer-reviewed publications with 42 unique CSUF student co-authors!
- Led 34 CSUF students to present at national conferences and conduct research at national labs.
