LMS Project Update – Canvas Summer Pilot has begun!
Faculty will have until SUMMER OF 2021 (next year), to transition to Canvas.
Summer news and preparations for Fall
- Upcoming Canvas Workshops:
- Canvas Intermediate Session: August 3, 2020; 9am – 12pm
- More workshops coming soon. Faculty will receive updates as new workshops are added. Please visit the Canvas Workshop page to view latest workshop schedule.
- CSUF has partnered with Instructure (developer of Canvas) to perform a one-time bulk migration from TITANium to Canvas
- Migrated content will be available for faculty use starting Fall 2020
- 24/7 Help available from Canvas
What’s been done
- Provided beginner and advanced Canvas workshop sessions
- Over 180 courses in Canvas for Summer 2020
- Emailed LMS Survey to faculty asking them to identify courses they would like migrated from TITANium to Canvas (for the bulk migration)
- Students can access Canvas via the MyCourse widget in their campus Portal
- To help students get familiar with Canvas, we have enrolled them in an introductory course, Passport to Canvas, available in their Canvas dashboard
- Teach and learn on-the-go: Download the Canvas app on your mobile devices
