Biosketch:
Anthony DiStefano, Ph.D., MPH, is a professor in the Department of Public Health at California State University, Fullerton, where he teaches courses on research methods and HIV. Dr. DiStefano conducts domestic and international research on the social determinants of syndemic health problems, including mental health, violence, and HIV. He uses a social science of medicine approach that involves primarily ethnographic methods informed by demography and epidemiology.
