Biosketch: As a statistical analyst and evaluation consultant, Dr. Mouttapa furthers collaborative research with local schools and agencies within Los Angeles and Orange Counties, focusing on health risk behaviors among underserved minority populations.  A few of these partners include the Dairy Council of California, St. Jude’s Hospital, the Orange County Nutrition and Physical Activity Collaborative, the Los Angeles Youth Collaborative, and the Bellflower and La Habra school districts. Her areas of specialization include adolescent substance use, violence, and obesity prevention. As editor of the Californian Journal of Health Promotion (CJHP), Dr. Mouttapa is committed to disseminating collaborative research at the community level.  She is collaborates with other faculty to publish special issues addressing health disparities in underserved communities.
